Comment/Synopsis A woman (Ruth Chatterton) discovers that her husband (Adolphe Menjou) is having an affair with an actress (Claire Dodd) so she shoots her rival during a rehearsal but a bank robber who was hiding in the theatre gets blamed for the murder. The film then revolves around the psychological impact the murder has on her as she lives with her husband and her husband know what she did but keeps quiet about it. Ruth Chatterton gives a good performance as the wife becoming increasingly withdrawn and disturbed. The ending is slightly contrived presumably to get round the Hays Code censors.
